Dr. Ryan Stone invented a scanning/imagery device to be used in hospitals and it was picked up by NASA instead. Because she was an expert in the field of X-Ray imagery, Stone was offered to go into space and install the device personally on theHubble Space Telescope. However, she never got the chance to finish it because the debris field wiped the Explorer Space Shuttle and the Hubble Space Telescope out.
